Firefighter rehabilitation is a vital firefighting service, providing firefighters and other emergency personnel with immediate medical attention including rehydration, treatment for smoke inhalation, and the prevention of life-threatening conditions such as heatstroke and heart attack.

The Rescue Squad provides a rehab unit – a specially equipped truck that responds to major fires or emergencies at which the health and safety of the firefighters operating on the scene may be jeopardized by the nature or duration of the incident or the weather.
