Charleston County Rescue Squad

The Charleston County Volunteer Rescue Squad is a volunteer-based non-profit organization contracted by Charleston County, South Carolina to provide support and operations to other agencies whenever the needed emergency response exceeds local resources, such as a disaster or a multiple-alarm fire.

Our members are all volunteers, living and working in your communities in Charleston County.

Our main funding is provided by Charleston County, but we rely on fundraising efforts and donations to supplement County support.

Our Capabilities

The Squad provides support and operations for automobile and heavy extrication, missing or injured boaters, land and marine search and rescue, confined space operations, high angle rescue, drowning (recovery and transport), swift water rescue, as well as First Responder medical response for Charleston County EMS.
