With over 32 years of dedicated service in local fire departments, Brett Rahalewicz brings a wealth of experience to his role as Assistant Chief of Training. Brett began his firefighting career as a volunteer with the Bushnell’s Basin Fire Department in Upstate New York, where he served for ten years before relocating to South Carolina. There, he transitioned to a professional role as a career firefighter and has served 22 years in the Lowcountry.

In his crucial position as Assistant Chief of Training, Brett is responsible for planning and executing comprehensive training programs. He ensures that all members are well-prepared for every call and up-to-date on essential certifications. His extensive background in emergency services equips him with the expertise to develop effective training strategies and maintain the highest standards of readiness.
