Heath McIntire
Assistant Chief McIntire serves as the Assistant Chief of Administration for CCVRS, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to our department. Starting his emergency services career as a volunteer firefighter in North Carolina, Assistant Chief McIntire joined CCVRS shortly after relocating back to South Carolina. Since 2018, he has been an integral part of the department, initially serving as a member and then duty officer before being elected to the role of Assistant Chief.
In this role, Assistant Chief McIntire oversees administrative functions, ensures efficient operations, and supports the squad’s mission to deliver exceptional emergency services. Passionate about professional development, he actively seeks out external training opportunities to stay current with best practices in emergency response.
In addition to his role with the rescue squad, Assistant Chief McIntire works full-time as a lender with a local community bank. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the Charleston waterways with his wife and dog as well as attending local car shows.
